Job Summary:This role involves conducting inspections, identifying contraventions, and promoting healthy industrial relations. As a Labour Relations Specialist, you'll work closely with establishments to ensure compliance with collective agreements.
Responsibilities:- Conduct routine inspections to monitor compliance with collective agreements.
- Identify and advise on contraventions, providing assistance in correction.
- Enhance communication among establishments, promoting positive industrial relations.
- Educate members on collective agreements, fostering awareness within assigned areas.
- Enforce collective agreements through legal processes.
- Schedule and manage appointments with establishments in designated zones.
- Promote company benefits and services to members and during inspections.
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent academic qualification.
- Labor relations qualification is required.
- Minimum 2 years sales experience, preferably in the Automotive industry.
- Motor industry expertise will be beneficial.
- 2+ years labor relations experience is necessary.
- Bargaining Council Agreement knowledge is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Decision-making and problem-solving abilities are crucial.
- Attention to detail and analytical skills are vital.
- Effective relationship-building skills are necessary.
- Correspondence handling and report writing skills are required.
- Administration and organization skills are necessary.
- English communication and computer literacy are must-haves.
- Valid driver's license and 2 years driving experience are required.
- Agents Examination certification will be an asset.
- Technical knowledge in motor engineering and/or motor vehicle repairs will be beneficial.
