We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Professional Career Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing components to suit customised pump arrangements and providing technical support during the manufacturing and assembly process.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a minimum of 8 years experience in design and fabrication detailing. You will be proficient in Autodesk packages, including CAD software, Inventor, 3ds max, Navisworks, Vault, and Fusion.
Key Responsibilities- Create new designs where necessary, complete with cutting lists and machining/fabrication drawings.
- Review customer and sales problems/requests, to evaluate and provide technical solutions to product performance in the field.
- Review manufacturing drawings and work closely with the production team to provide technical support during the manufacturing and assembly process.
- Assist the Sales Department with new designs or adjustments to existing designs for baseplates, vertical pumps, pontoons, walkaways, and tanks.
- Select appropriate materials and components for designs.
- Evaluate machine-shop and fabricator abilities and capacities, and provide feedback to procurement to improve lead times, cost management, and quality.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer.
We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
