We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Professional Career Services. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing customized pump arrangements for various industrial applications.
Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design and fabrication detailing, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the industry. You will be expected to interpret engineering drawings, assist machine-shops and fabricators with machine-setup & interpretation of drawings, and provide technical support during the manufacturing and assembly process.
Responsibilities will include creating new designs where necessary, complete with cutting lists and machining/fabrication drawings, reviewing customer and sales problems/requests, and providing technical solutions to product performance in the field. You will also be responsible for reviewing manufacturing drawings and working closely with the production team to provide technical support during the manufacturing and assembly process.
Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Registered as a Professional Engineer
- Minimum of 8 years experience in mechanical design and fabrication detailing
- Able to interpret engineering drawings, assist machine-shops and fabricators with machine-setup & interpretation of drawings
- Good general knowledge of pump application, mechanical and hydraulic loading, engineering concepts
- Knowledge of material strengths, fits and tolerances
- Hands-on experience with design, engineering and/or fabrication of pump components
- Sound knowledge of Metallurgy
- Experience on Vault
- Proficient computer skills in Autodesk packages, Product Design & Manufacturing: CAD Software, Autodesk Inventor, 3ds max, Navisworks, Vault, Fusion
