Key Responsibilities:
  • Electrical Equipment Procurement: Assist in the process of selecting and procuring electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Asset Mechanical Reliability: Achieve business objectives related to asset mechanical reliability and assist the Operations team in meeting asset capability objectives.
  • Equipment Strategies: Participate in and assist with developing and maintaining equipment strategies to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Preventative Measures: Provide assistance in the development and implementation of preventative measures for existing structural conditions.
  • Technical Knowledge: Provide technical knowledge to the Technical team regarding reliability improvements, repairs, troubleshooting, and equipment design requirements.
  • Liaison with Engineering Manager: Liaise with the Engineering Manager within the Engineering and Projects Drawing departments and complete any tasks assigned.
  • Technology Solutions: Assist with developing and evaluating solutions for most effective technology.
  • Power Source Management: Manage the different power sources on our plant, including Eskom, Generators, and Solar.
  • Energy Champion: Act as the Energy champion for the Site.
Requirements:
  • Education: BEng Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering is essential.
  • Experience: Previous experience in plastic injection moulding is not essential.
  • Communication Skills: Good written and verbal English communication skills are essential.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Troubleshooting skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Organizational Skills: Must be organised with good planning and administration skills.
  • Technical Sales Personality: Must have a technical sales personality with an ability to work in a team.
  • Rotational Training: Must be open to a rotational training programme, where the candidate will be working in projects, technical, maintenance, and production.
  • Location: Candidates must live within the area or be willing to relocate closer to the company.
