Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Support Specialist to join our Platform and Compute Support Team. This role will be responsible for providing day-to-day support of our customer's network and server environments, performing project-related duties, troubleshooting technical faults, and updating customers on progress of faults by telephone and email.
Main Responsibilities- Provide 24/7 support for our enterprise cloud, managed private clouds, managed services customer environments, and internal cloud environments.
- Perform routine maintenance, testing failover and backup, implementing best practices, and ensuring server, storage, network, and hypervisor availability at the highest level.
- Work alongside Project, Transition, and Service Delivery management teams to assist in the smooth transition and acceptance of new customers and technologies into support.
- Contribute to process improvements and participate in high-impact, high-urgency incidents where prompt resolution and root cause analysis is required.
- Graduate or qualified by experience with ideal certifications such as Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, VMware VCP – VCP-DCV 6.x, 7.x, 8.x, Veeam Certified Engineer, Commvault Certified Professional, and ITIL Foundation.
- Essential experience in VMware vSphere, Microsoft Azure IAAS, Microsoft O Administration, Microsoft Server OS administration and troubleshooting.
- Desirable experience in Azure AVD, Microsoft Hyper-V, Server hardware support, Storage system support, scripting knowledge (PowerShell, PowerCli), Veeam Backup, and Commvault (Metallic).
- A structured and organised approach to complex problem determination and solving.
- Ability to work in a very busy and highly pressurised environment and deal with high impact, high profile incidents, problems, and changes.
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written, in a clear and professional manner.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated, yet being a professional and diligent team player.
The estimated salary for this role is between $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
