Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Responding to reports of pain or sickness and assessing student conditions
  • Determining when a student requires placement on sick bed due to illness or pain
  • Accompanying students to clinic or hospital as needed and communicating with parents and clinical staff
  • Checking vital signs and weight as assigned
  • Accurately dispersing student medications and recording in Medication Administration Record
  • Counting and tracking narcotics every shift
  • Monitoring students' mood, behavior, and affect and charting findings
  • Communicating pertinent medical information to Treatment Team and Psychiatrist
  • Assisting night watch staff with care of students
