Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Sales Representative. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting our products and increasing market share through providing excellent client service and identifying opportunities for cross-selling value-added products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Delivery:
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of Sanlam Retail Mass product ranges.
  • Identify customers' needs, financial goals, and means, and provide suitable products to meet their objectives in the most affordable way possible.
  • Stay updated on new products or changes in existing ones and inform customers accordingly.
  • Manage and review client portfolios to ensure they remain on the books.
  • Validate client details according to product and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct due diligence on clients to identify potential risks.
In-branch Client Service and Client Retention:
  • Provide exceptional client service and manage client profiles to maintain relationships.
  • Send payment reminders and follow up with clients to address queries or provide support.
  • Identify and resolve issues with non-taken-up clients (NTUs).
  • Ensure client payments are processed efficiently and effectively.
  • Consult with clients on alternative payment arrangements.
Quality, Compliance, and Continuous Development:
  • Adhere to compliance and quality standards at all times.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, registration, and CPD points.
  • Identify and report any potential fraudulent activities.
  • Keep accurate records of advice provided.
Monthly Planning and Reporting:
  • Submit daily reports using relevant technology platforms.
  • Compile data for weekly and monthly reporting deadlines.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in sales or marketing.
  • Previous experience in insurance branches is advantageous.
  • Matric (Grade 12) qualification is essential.
  • RE5 and FAIS Compliant (Wealth Management) certifications are desirable.
