Job Title: Logistic Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistic Manager to join our team at Pro Tem Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain management process, ensuring the efficient handling of products and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services
  • Direct, optimize, and coordinate the full order cycle
  • Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers
  • Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency
  • Arrange warehouse and catalogue goods
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints
  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
  • Comply with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements

Requirements and Skills:

  • Proven working experience as a Logistics Manager
  • Record of successful distribution and logistics management
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
  • BS in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures, inspect levels of business supplies, ensure product stock is adequate, record daily deliveries and shipments, use software to monitor demand, and place orders to replenish stock
  • Inventory Cost Accounting: Product costing, standard cost updates, analysis of cost variance, and preparation of cost reports
  • Import Export Management: Ensure shipment is done in accordance with rules and regulations, deal with insurance, tariffs, and quotas, make categories of shipment according to tariff coding system, and negotiate to reduce taxes and duties owed

Requirements for this Position:

  • Most positions require a bachelor's degree for this post or an experience of five years
  • Computer and management skills are also required for this position
  • Proficiency in other languages is also desirable
  • Certified professional is preferred
