Government Administrative Assistant Opportunity:

The Western Cape Government is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Administration Clerk in our Directorate: Health Infrastructure. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to professional staff, including filing, ordering stationery, processing payments, and drafting submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Render administrative and reception assistance to professional staff
  2. Assist with ordering and issuing of stationery
  3. Process payments and compile claims
  4. Draft and type submissions, default letters, and arrange meetings and agendas
  5. Take minutes and general correspondence

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have a good understanding of administration rules and regulations, as well as departmental information systems. You should also possess strong computer skills, particularly in MS Word and Excel.
