Job Title: Applications Manager (IT)

Centrax Systems is seeking a highly skilled Applications Manager (IT) to join our team. As the central liaison between Operations and IT, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless support and project management of applications, driving digital transformation, and overseeing legacy application modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact between Operations and IT for Manufacturing and Legacy Applications in the region.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate effective dialogue exchange between departments.
  • Manage the Manufacturing and Legacy Applications team.
  • Collaborate with Operations to define and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and support models.
  • Manage contracts for software licenses and maintenance support for regional applications.
  • Ensure the quality of service in accordance with the agreed SLAs.
  • Deliver agreed enhancements following the IT Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Change Management process.
  • Develop a roadmap for legacy applications modernization and rationalization.
  • Design and present new solutions to the Architecture Review Board (ARB) for approval.
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks, identify improvement opportunities.
  • Provide progress and status reports at regular intervals to stakeholders.
  • Manage issues and requests utilizing the IT Service Management (ITSM) ticketing systems.
  • Organize and lead meetings related to applications.
  • Determine staffing requirements and skills needed to support regional applications.
  • Collaborate with the TOIS Center of Excellence (CoE) to prioritize enhancement requests.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of IT Applications or Operation Technology (OT) Applications management experience.
  • 10+ years of IT Applications Development experience in various languages.
  • Experience in digital transformation projects.
  • Technical proficiency with Process Control Systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and historian systems.
  • Understanding of the ISA95 Purdue model.
  • Ability to translate Business Requirements (BR) to Functional Requirements (FR).
  • Strong organization and coordination skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing project strategies and managing complex projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong relationship builder.
  • Results-oriented motivator with a 'can-do' attitude, strong customer support abilities.
  • Problem solver with varying degrees of complexity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Management, or equivalent.
  • Proficient in English, excellent verbal, and written skills.

Additionally:

  • Experience with SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) S4 or ECC6.
  • Experience with Cloud-based architectures, Microsoft Azure preferred.
  • Experience with advanced data models, including Data Lakehouse, Data Factory, and Databricks.
  • Understanding of Enterprise Architecture and systems design.
  • Able to work in a matrix organization.
  • Experience working for a multinational company and effectively with different cultures.
  • Experience in manufacturing working environments.
  • Experience in the Mining and Chemical industry.
  • Ability to work independently with initiative, be a strong team player, have excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
