About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal auditing, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive results-oriented initiatives. You will work closely with the Chief Internal Auditor to develop and implement effective strategies to ensure the smooth operation of our Internal Audit Department.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Budget Planning: Collaborate with senior management to establish realistic budget targets.
  2. Supervision and Training: Oversee internal auditors, provide guidance and training to enhance their skills and expertise.
  3. Function Development: Implement innovative approaches to improve audit efficiency and effectiveness.
  4. Audit Reporting: Prepare comprehensive audit reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  5. Knowledge Sharing: Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and best practices within the department.
Requirements and Qualifications
  1. Qualification: BCom Internal Auditing or equivalent degree required.
  2. Experience: Minimum 5 years in audit and/or internal audit, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience.
  3. Certifications: CIA / CISA preferable or working towards completion thereof.
  4. Additional Requirements: Internal audit articles at a Big 4 advantageous, internal audit exposure in banking beneficial.
