Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Professional to join our team as a Finance Governance Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the control framework within the Finance Department, focusing on independent testing of Finance, Tax, and ALMT related risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough reviews and assessments of finance-related incidents to ensure timely identification and mitigation of risks.
  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies aligned with Group taxonomy requirements.
  • Conduct regular checks and challenges on risk identification and assessment processes to ensure their adequacy and effectiveness.
  • Maintain watch over procedures and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure that the organization adheres to the principle of a sound internal control framework.
  • Align local control plans with Finance Group Control Plans to guarantee seamless integration and consistency.
  • Challenge and evaluate the adequacy of control plans to mitigate identified risks effectively.
  • Perform independent testing to verify the effectiveness of controls in place.
  • Implement controls to ensure robust risk management practices.
  • Monitor action plans and recommendations to ensure timely execution and completion.
  • Report on the status of the finance control framework implementation and operating effectiveness to senior management.
  • Provide regular updates on the status of the finance permanent control framework to the group.

Requirements:

  • Certified Internal Auditor or newly qualified CA qualification is essential for this role.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in an Audit/Compliance function or similar environment is required.
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry with a focus on risk, controls, and governance would be advantageous.

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience. Please note that this is an estimate based on the location and job requirements. The actual salary may vary.
