UI Developer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled UI Developer to join our team in Johannesburg on a 12-month contract. As a UI Developer, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for our banking applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop responsive user interfaces for web and mobile banking applications.
  • Collaborate with UX designers to implement engaging and intuitive designs using tools like Sketch and Figma.
  • Write clean, maintainable code using technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Utilize frameworks like Angular and React to build interactive user experiences.
  • Integrate with backend services using Node.js and ensure seamless communication between the frontend and backend systems.
  • Conduct user testing and gather feedback to continually improve application usability.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance the overall design and user experience.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar)
  • Relevant Development, Framework, Design or Web Certificates preferred (UX Design, JavaScript Developer, js, Figma, React Developer, or similar)
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in UI development, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with modern frameworks such as Angular and React.
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Sketch and Figma.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design and mobile-first development.
  • Knowledge of backend technologies like Node.js is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
