About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Cisco technologies to join our team at Dimension Data.

Key Responsibilities


  • Performing day-to-day maintenance of the core network, including Cisco router and switching platforms
  • Installing software on platforms, racking, and stacking, and deploying into the network
  • Managing self-sparing of equipment and ensuring it is in working order and easily available when required
  • Labelling of equipment and cabling to ensure it is in accordance with prescribed standards


Requirements


  • At least 1 year's experience as an engineer within an ISP, Telco, or VPN service provider environment
  • Must have an understanding of routing & switching skills
  • A degree or related diploma will be advantageous
  • Programing skills with the mind-set of automation will be advantageous
  • Related vendor certifications will also be advantageous
