Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree: A degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field is often the minimum requirement.
  • Advanced Degree: An MBA or a master's degree in marketing or a related field can be beneficial, especially for leadership roles.
Experience:
  • Marketing Experience: Typically, 7–10 years of experience in marketing, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role, is expected.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the specific industry of the company (e.g., tech, retail, healthcare) can be crucial.
  • Project Management: Proven experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns, budgets, and teams.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience leading cross-functional teams and mentoring junior marketing staff.
Skills:
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to create and execute long-term marketing strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing market trends, customer insights, and campaign performance metrics (experience with tools like Google Analytics, CRM software, etc.).
  • Communication and Presentation: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external communication.
  • Digital Marketing Expertise: Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies (SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, content marketing, etc.).
  • Creativity: Ability to innovate and create compelling marketing strategies that resonate with target audiences.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work with other departments such as sales, product development, and customer service.
Certifications (Optional but Beneficial):
  • Google Analytics or Google Ads Certifications
  • HubSpot Certification in inbound marketing
  • Project Management Certification (PMP or similar)
  • Certifications in digital marketing, SEO, or content strategy
