At HR Genie, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to manage our financial operations in Parow. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and experience in accounting.

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for preparing monthly financial statements, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, conducting general ledger reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for management review.
  • Oversee the processing of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring efficient and error-free transactions.
  • Conduct thorough general ledger reconciliations and manage the month-end closing process.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT, payroll, and income tax filings, as well as other regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to drive business growth.
  • Conduct variance analysis to support informed decision-making and improve financial performance.
  • Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure seamless compliance.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and document processes and controls.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., SAIPA, SAICA) preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in financial accounting.
  • Knowledge of IFRS and South African tax regulations.

The estimated salary for this position is R600,000 - R800,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
