About Datacentrix Ltd



We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join our team in South Africa. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for designing and implementing highly available cloud platforms aligned with company standards.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Build, run, and support high-availability cloud platforms with a focus on security, following company standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with new Microsoft Azure services and optimized cost offerings, ensuring the best possible solutions for our business needs.
  • Create and manage platforms on our Azure infrastructure using ARM, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Implement logging and monitoring into Datadog to ensure smooth operation of our Azure platform.
  • Define and manage service-level metrics, including SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs, utilizing Datadog logging and monitoring.
  • Handle incidents and outages, restore services, and perform post-incident and root cause analysis.
  • Own FinOps and Capacity Planning to optimize spending and scalability, reviewing opportunities for improvement.
  • Deliver continuous improvement of recipes, scripts, and templates for reproducible deployments.
  • Show proficiency in secure infrastructure and networking, as well as data lifecycle management.
  • Deploy and manage Azure Container Apps, utilize Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, and leverage strong collaborative skills to partner with development and QA teammates.
  • Collaborate with teammates to resolve performance issues and infrastructure-related defects.
  • Collaborate with teammates in the continuous evolution of the Track & Trace technical architecture.


Requirements:




  • 5 years of experience working as a Platform Engineer, DevOps, SRE, or Backend Engineer.
  • 3 years of experience with Microsoft Azure.
  • 3 years of experience working with CI pipelines (Azure DevOps, Azure).
  • Proficiency with ARM, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Proficiency in writing production-quality bash scripts.
  • Proficiency with FinOps and services plans.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:




  • Azure Container Apps (ACA) experience is a plus.
  • Experience setting up Datadog is a big plus.
  • Hands-on Experience with Terraform is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible is a plus.
  • Degree in computer science preferred.


Estimated Salary: R 1,200,000 - R 1,500,000 per annum
