The Compliance Risk Management Expert will play a critical role in ensuring that Old Mutual adheres to regulatory requirements and maintains a strong compliance culture.


Key Responsibilities



  • Develop, implement, and oversee regulatory compliance risk management strategies for the company.
  • Establish and maintain an effective compliance function, framework, and core processes.
  • Identify, assess, report, and mitigate compliance risks across the organization.
  • Enforce and uphold the company's compliance standards.
  • Participate in activities that drive a strong culture of compliance and internal control.
  • Manage compliance monitoring, including personal account dealing, gifts, and entertainment, conflicts of interest, and political donations.
  • Produce reports for senior management on compliance monitoring findings.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are consistent with approvals from various Boards.
  • Identify and assist with training and educational needs regarding compliance practices.
  • Implement core compliance principles, frameworks, processes, systems, and platforms.
  • Assist with regulator and audit reviews and oversee compliance actions.

Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will require:



  • 5-10 years' experience in a similar role in the Financial/Regulatory/Banking sector.
  • A relevant Bachelor's degree or senior compliance qualification (BCOM; BCOM LAW).
  • Monitoring experience.
  • CPRAC certification is recommended but not a pre-requisite.
  • Approved FAIS compliance officer with the FSCA.
  • Understanding of core compliance principles and regulatory requirements.

Estimated Salary Range


R1 200 000 - R2 000 000 per annum, depending on experience.
