We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Hire Resolve, a leading construction company in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality construction services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Cost Estimation: Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing project drawings and specifications.
- Bills of Quantities Preparation: Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities to ensure seamless project execution.
- Tender Document Evaluation: Prepare and evaluate tender documents, negotiate and procure subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Project Cost Monitoring: Regularly monitor project costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide commercial astuteness.
- Contract Compliance: Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, preparing and evaluating variation orders and final accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, providing commercial expertise and insights.
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant technical qualification, be registered as a quantity surveyor, and have a minimum of 8 years' experience in built environment projects. Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent client engagement skills are essential.
