Role Summary

This role involves providing strategic design and quality assurance to reduce the risk of the organisation and its clients. The successful candidate will have a strong background in IT and be able to work effectively with the Director of Technology and the IT department.

Main Responsibilities

Key Results

  • Develop strategic design advice from the outset of any project from an Information Technology perspective.
  • Contribute to best maintenance and operations practices.

Operational Tasks

  • Effectively manage results-based operation of information technology database systems.
  • Implement Knowledge Base System (KBS) to store decisions/advice made during program implementation.
  • Collaborate with IT Advisor to establish a work plan for IT services.
  • Supervise IT Advisors on ongoing database maintenance and plan upgrades for existing databases as necessary.
  • Collaborate with external consultants to formulate Management Information System (MIS) to combine all collected data and expose it through a common M&E interface for Management and Project Managers.
  • Partner with project officers, managers, and other stakeholders to understand project objectives and apply new MOU/Guideline into the system.
  • Collaborate with advisors and stakeholders to work on the database development plan.
  • Oversee IT Advisor who maintains database with Finance and Contract Administration Unit to ensure consistency in budgeting vs output/activity planning.
Requirements

Diploma in IT or Informatics or equivalent qualification is required. A minimum of 5 years post-qualification working experience is also necessary.

Desirable Skills and Knowledge

  • Familiarity with NET Framework technology and Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory is beneficial.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software, critically analyze symptoms, diagnose faults, and take appropriate action on equipment including PCs, printers, multifunction copiers, sound boards, lighting equipment, and networking.
  • Knowledge of hardware components and hardware troubleshooting procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft desktop operating systems and desktop software.
  • Microsoft Active Directory skills including creating, deleting, and modifying user accounts, setting up e-mail, home, and directories.
  • Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP v4 and v6 protocol, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, SMTP, FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, ICMP, and ability to crimp CAT5e and install wall boxes.
  • Capacity to operate theatre equipment such as sound boards, lighting equipment, and public address systems.
  • Ability to seek solutions to problems using one's own resources.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
