About the Role:

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to oversee the culinary operations of our kitchen. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation, and maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Section Management: Oversee and manage a specific section of the kitchen (e.g., grill, pastry, or sauce), ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  2. Culinary Excellence: Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standards, ensuring consistency and presentation.
  3. Team Leadership: Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff within your section, providing guidance and support as needed.
  4. Innovation and Improvement: Monitor ingredient quality, portion control, and food waste, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
  5. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with kitchen hygiene and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  6. Creative Collaboration: Assist in menu development and contribute creative ideas to enhance the dining experience.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience
  1. A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar role within a 4 or 5-star hotel.
  2. A culinary qualification is preferred.
  3. Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and hygiene standards.
  4. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and work in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Passion for cooking and a commitment to delivering excellence.
  6. Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
