Role Overview

Rocketscout is seeking a skilled and experienced Field Guide to lead guided tours and provide exceptional guest experiences in our Big 5 Game Reserve environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead guided tours and provide expert knowledge of the reserve's flora and fauna.
  • Ensure guest safety and well-being at all times during safari activities.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and engage with guests from diverse backgrounds.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
Requirements
  • FGASA Qualification: Minimum NQF 4 with Backup Trails certification.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Field Guide / Ranger in a Big 5 Game Reserve environment.
  • Valid first aid training certificate for handling trauma care.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff in English.
