Executive Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Wild Dreams Hospitality. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading and managing kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to junior staff, and overseeing kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Management: Manage and lead the kitchen staff in the Head Chef's absence, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Training and Development: Train and assess staff on the job, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
- Kitchen Operations: Oversee and organize kitchen stock and ingredients, ensuring a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifying all food products are correctly dated and organized for quality assurance.
- Station Management: Keep cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours, to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Requirements:
- Culinary Diploma: Must have a formal culinary diploma.
- Senior Chef Experience: Must have +/- 4 years previous experience in a senior chef role.
- Transportation: Own transport is essential.
- Leadership and Management Skills: Must have leadership and management skills and be able to work in a team.
- Computer Skills: Will need basic computer skills (word, excel, outlook).
- Communication Skills: Excellent written & oral communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills.
- Attention to Detail: Attention to detail.
- Availability: Availability to work within opening hours (e.g., evenings, public holidays, weekends).
- Pressure Management: Must have the ability to work under pressure.
- Creative Problem-Solving: Must have creative problem-solving skills.
