We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Manager to lead our building projects in Johannesburg, Gauteng. As a senior member of our team, you will be responsible for managing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in building construction, with a focus on site management. They will have proven experience managing construction projects, including in-depth knowledge of building construction processes, quality control, and site safety management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget compliance, and high-quality outcomes.
  • Lead and manage teams, subcontractors, and client relationships, fostering strong communication and collaboration.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts, ensuring accurate project execution.
  • Develop and implement project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building codes, regulations, and compliance standards, ensuring project adherence.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and strategic goals.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in building construction, with a focus on site management.
  • Proven experience managing construction projects, including in-depth knowledge of building construction processes, quality control, and site safety management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading and motivating cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on efficiency and quality.
  • Highly organized, with excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience communicating complex information to diverse audiences.
Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this role is R850,000 - R1,200,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
