Job Description
This role is responsible for supporting laboratories with LIMS, coordinating issues, functionality and improvements of the system. A Chemistry and/or Laboratory and Information Technology background is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting various LIMS systems in multiple Laboratories on a technical and functional level, including setup, implementation, system configurations, validation, troubleshooting and staff training.
  • Developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for LIMS use and troubleshooting.
  • Ensuring real-time synchronization between LIMS and laboratory instruments.
  • Implementing IT projects in the region and meeting the information technology needs of the company to ensure computer capabilities are responsive to the needs of the company's growth, including configuration of LIMS systems for new and existing sites.
  • Providing periodical and ad-hoc reports and data insights for decision making.
  • Participating in system audits, validation, and documentation of change controls.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Computer and Information Literacy.
  • Good Interpersonal Skills.
  • Ability to support the IT environment, i.e. availability of data and systems, usage of tools to support and improve the implemented systems and client base as well as to keep the infrastructure updated.
  • Ability to coordinate computer operations and projects.
  • Microsoft Office Product Suite.
  • 3rd party application support: i.e. CCLAS, Starlims, LabVantage Lotus Notes, etc.
  • Excellent Telephone Etiquette.
  • Have an instinct for issue identification and implement the appropriate solutions.
  • Be practical without compromising on quality.
  • Ability to work independently without continuous support.
  • Analytical and creative minded.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to take control of the environment. Be responsible.
  • Set high standards for him- or herself and team members.
  • Extremely well organized to support the entire spectrum of information technology operations.
  • Must work well under pressure.
  • Strive for continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility to travel and work long hours.
  • Fluent English. Regional preferred language is an asset.
