Job Title: Technical Sales Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Consultant to join our team at Pro Personnel. As a Technical Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for selling our company's products and services to pre-identified customers, developing and maintaining a strong customer base, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve sales budget by presenting and selling company products and services to pre-identified customers
  • Develop and maintain a strong customer base through building harmonious and service-oriented relationships with clients
  • Identify and resolve customer queries and concerns
  • Manage account services through quality checks
  • Conduct on-site client training as required
  • Responsible for regular wash audits
  • Take swabs and provide feedback as required
  • Conduct titration tests as required, as per service level agreement (if in place)
  • Responsible for placing orders for customers
  • Follow up and provide feedback to customers on all queries (deliveries, orders, credits, customer complaints)
  • Responsible for ensuring customer complaints are handled timeously and feedback on outcomes is communicated with the customer
  • Plot results on a trend and communicate with the customer
  • Act as liaison in the coordination of information and services between the customer and business
  • Conduct installation, inspection, maintenance, and repairs to equipment
  • Oversee and facilitate product delivery and equipment installation
  • Establish the technical needs of the customer and suggest appropriate products
  • Explain complex technical information to customers in a way that is easily understandable
  • Keep customers informed about new technological products and solutions
  • Compile proposals and reports related to technical products
  • Enhance new business development within the existing customer base by providing solutions and introducing new products and/or enhanced solutions
  • Draft and present quotations and proposals
  • Continuously build relationships and promote the company to create awareness in the marketplace
  • Regular marketing activities to build and maintain customer relationships
  • Continuous evaluation of customers to identify needs, recommend, and implement solutions to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Regular customer feedback on corrective actions implemented for noted deviations
  • Ensure personal growth and development by continuous self-analysis and attending enrichment programs (Time Management, Communication skills, presentation skills, technical skills, product knowledge, market research, and knowledge of competitors, etc.)
  • Implementation and adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Reporting on sales activities, submission of daily, weekly, and monthly reports and proposals as per the measurement criteria as stipulated
  • Submission of customer documentation as required
  • Preparing of monthly reports and monthly meetings with management outside of formal meetings
  • Regular written communication confirming activities to all growers and respective management
  • Establishing trends and graphs of water micro or surface swab results monthly per customer
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 (Matric) or Equivalent
  • Technical Diploma or equivalent and Sales and Marketing qualification will be beneficial
  • Computer Literate
  • Valid code 08 Drivers License (Unendorsed)
Work Experience and Core Competency Requirements:
  • 2-4 years experience in a Technical Service or Sales position in the chemical cleaning industry
  • Training Experience Beneficial
  • Knowledge and Experience of technical systems, equipment, food processing, and poultry plants for the chemical industry will be beneficial
