Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse: Clinical Consultant to join our team at Headhunters. As a key member of our Hospital Pre-Auth Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that key performance indicators and service level agreements are met, and hospital procedures are authorized according to protocol.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-authorize in-hospital procedures, specialized radiology, medical appliances, and oxygen for all schemes according to established protocols.
- Provide assistance with clinical-related queries and escalations, adhering to established protocols.
- Present complicated cases at clinical meetings as required.
- Contribute to ongoing training and support within the Pre-Auth Team.
- Accurately and comprehensively record notes on the system.
- Rotate filing of audit reports in a timely manner.
- Resolve client queries in a timely and professional manner to ensure exceptional client service.
- Act as a reliable backup to the Team Leader in their absence, ensuring seamless continuity within the Pre-Auth Team.
- Participate in and contribute to a culture that fosters rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback, and provides exceptional client service.
- Demonstrate exemplary team behavior through personal involvement, commitment, and dedication in support of organizational values.
- Be part of a culture that directs best practice, fostering an environment of continuous learning, improvement, and cohesiveness.
- Identify own training and development needs and discuss interventions to enable ongoing personal growth.
Requirements
- A National Senior Certificate is essential.
- A Nursing Diploma or Degree is required.
- A minimum of 1 year's clinical experience within a private hospital is essential.
- The incumbent must be registered with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse.
- Knowledge of the Medical Scheme industry would be highly advantageous.
- Experience in a call centre environment would be an advantage.
- MS Office / Office 365 proficiency is required.
