Our client is a reputable organization seeking a highly skilled Tax Law Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax law and compliance, with experience in managing tax disputes and negotiations.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing tax law and compliance processes, including reviewing tax assessments, preparing objections and appeals, and negotiating with SARS. They will also be responsible for completing and submitting tax returns, applying for reduced assessments, and requesting SARS to remit penalties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review tax assessments and prepare objections and appeals
  • Negotiate with SARS on behalf of clients
  • Complete and submit tax returns
  • Apply for reduced assessments and request SARS to remit penalties
  • Attend to various registrations and re-registrations
  • Manage dormant company requests and tax computations
  • Calculate and submit provisional, income, and dividend tax returns
  • Apply for tax clearance certificates and directives
  • Prepare supporting documents and attend to SARS correspondence
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have extensive experience in tax law and compliance, with a strong background in tax disputes and negotiations. You should possess excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
