The successful candidate will oversee the procurement of goods and services for infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals. With a minimum of 8 years of experience in construction procurement, preferably in a public sector environment, this individual must possess exceptional contract management skills, including familiarity with FIDIC, NEC3, and JBCC forms.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for capital projects, focusing on preferential procurement and enterprise development.
  • Liaise with internal clients to procure infrastructure goods and services, facilitating collaboration between departments.
  • Manage project-specific briefing sessions with suppliers, ensuring clarity and compliance with procurement plans.
  • Conduct market analysis and advise user departments on appropriate procurement strategies and methods.
Requirements

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in Procurement/Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • At least 3 mega-projects contracts procured and managed until closeout.
  • Proven expertise in contract administration, including review of variation orders and submission of invoices for payment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Familiarity with risk management principles and the ability to identify and mitigate risks within set timelines.
