Job Title: Social Work Supervisor: Service Delivery Teams

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Work Supervisor to lead our Service Delivery Teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality social work services to vulnerable individuals, groups, families, and communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of social workers, social auxiliary workers, and volunteers to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Supervise and advise team members on social work practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with social work legislation, policies, and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Formal tertiary qualification in Social Work (e.g., Bachelor of Social Work) that allows professional registration with the SACSSP.
  • Registration with the SACSSP as a Social Worker.
  • A minimum of 7 years of appropriate experience in social work after registration as a Social Worker with the SACSSP.
  • A valid code B driving license.
Competencies:
  • Knowledge of social work theory, interventions, and legislation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Remuneration:

R - R per annum (OSD as prescribed)

Note: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD) are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations.

Notes:

Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. These candidates will be required to attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments/proficiency tests.
