Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Work Supervisor to lead our Service Delivery Teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality social work services to vulnerable individuals, groups, families, and communities.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the Service Delivery Teams to ensure effective service delivery.
- Supervise and advise social workers, social auxiliary workers, and volunteers to ensure an effective social work service.
- Ensure compliance with social work legislation related to children and other relevant laws.
- Keep up-to-date with new developments in the social work field and implement best practices.
- Supervise administrative functions and undertake higher-level administrative tasks.
- Formal tertiary qualification in Social Work (e.g., Bachelor of Social Work) that allows professional registration with the SACSSP.
- Registration with the SACSSP as a Social Worker.
- A minimum of 7 years of appropriate experience in social work after registration as a Social Worker with the SACSSP.
- A valid code B driving license.
- Knowledge of job-related knowledge, analytic, diagnostic, assessment tools, evaluation methods, and processes.
- Personnel Management.
- Supervision Framework for Social Workers.
- Social Work legislation related to children.
- Social work theory and interventions.
- Information and Knowledge Management.

R - R per annum (OSD as prescribed)
Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD) are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations, including basic salary, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc.
Selection Process:Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. These candidates will be required to attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments/proficiency tests. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
