**Job Title:** Boilermaker Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled Boilermaker Fabricator to join our team at Desco Electronic Recyclers. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and installing boilers and other large containers using various welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Read blueprints and drawings to plan layout and procedures.
  2. Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
  3. Set up components for welding according to specifications.
  4. Align components using calipers, rulers, and clamp pieces.
  5. Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
  6. Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
  7. Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  1. Matric (Grade 12) with proven experience as a welder/boilermaker with Red Seal (Trade Test).
  2. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  3. Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing.
  4. Deftness and attention to detail.
  5. Proficient in English, Mathematical, and AutoCAD.
  6. Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is required.
