**Responsibilities**:

**Fabrication and Welding**:

- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to engineering specifications.
- Utilise welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding, to join metals with precision.

**Repair and Maintenance**:

- Conduct repairs and maintenance on metal equipment, machinery, and structures.
- Perform routine inspections to identify and address potential issues.

**Blueprint Interpretation**:

- Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and other specifications.
- Ensure accurate measurements and alignment of components during fabrication and repairs.

**Safety Compliance**:

- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
- Implement safety measures during fabrication, welding, and other job-related tasks.

**Material Selection**:

- Select appropriate materials for fabrication and repairs based on project requirements.
- Manage and organise an inventory of materials and tools.

**Collaboration**:

- Work collaboratively with other team members, including engineers and maintenance personnel.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors to provide progress updates and discuss project specifications.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Boilermaker or in a similar metal fabrication role.
- Proficient in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical strength and stamina to handle the demands of the job.

**Certifications**:

- Relevant certifications in metal fabrication and welding are preferred.
- Experience with gates, staircases and carports
