Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor - Mpumalanga Project

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Steinmuller Africa.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing contracts, ensuring compliance with contract terms, and mitigating risks. You will also prepare tender estimates, budgets, and cash flows, as well as conduct cost control and reporting during the pre-contract period.

You will draft and prepare Bills of Quantities, review enquiry documents, and manage commercial contract evaluation and negotiation of terms and conditions. Additionally, you will plan and organise all commercial management processes and contractual deadlines, budget, and resources for a project.

Key responsibilities include managing contract entitlements, variations, payments, claims management, and dispute resolution, including cost control, reporting, and budgeting for main and subcontracts from inception to completion of a project.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying (B.Sc. QS) or equivalent degree
  • Professional registration with SACQSP or RICS would be advantageous
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the mechanical field
  • Knowledge of engineering contracts (NEC and FIDIC)
  • Ability to read and understand project schedules
  • Computer literate (MS Office)

Salary: R500,000 - R700,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
