  • Compile and maintain the integrity of a configuration management database in alignment with company standards and using prescribed systems.
  • Utilize the Remedy system for request, incident, and problem handling, rectifying and implementing preventative actions as needed.
  • Continuously monitor performance, analyze trends, and tune the database for optimum performance, recording and building a known error database (KEDB) for problem handling.
  • Built and maintain a network of support structures, such as vendors, employees, user groups, etc., for consultation purposes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest release versions and ensure approval through user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality assurance (QA) processes; design and execute a release implementation plan; maintain the Definitive Software Library (DSL); and install, maintain, and report license issues as needed.
  • Monitor and report on space utilization, execute trend analysis, alerts, and escalation; monitor memory utilization and Central Processing Unit (CPU) at all times.
  • Devise monitoring methodology and processes, utilize appropriate toolsets, and report on availability or uptime.
  • Identify, propose, and implement appropriate toolsets for an effective backup strategy to ensure continuity of services and monitor the backup strategy continuously. Validate a DR Plan for the database(s) under data center management, considering replication, snapshots, or remote copy as applicable.
