Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal growth and quality of our crops, as well as managing a team of staff to achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement effective cultivation strategies to maximize crop yields and quality.
  2. Oversee the management of vineyard and olive farm operations, including planting, pruning, pest and disease control, and harvest.
  3. Monitor and maintain the health of our vineyards and olive groves, implementing measures to ensure optimal growth and quality.
  4. Coordinate with consultants to implement best practices and improve farm performance.
  5. Lead and manage a team of staff, including seasonal workers, to achieve farm objectives.
  6. Develop and manage the agriculture budget, monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures.
  7. Ensure compliance with all agricultural regulations and implement sustainable farming practices to minimize environmental impact.
  8. Plan and coordinate harvest activities, ensuring optimal timing for harvest.
  9. Stay up-to-date with the latest vineyard and olive management techniques and technologies, conducting trials of new farming methods as necessary.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in viticulture, agriculture, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in farm management or a similar role, with strong knowledge of viticulture and olive practices.
  3. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  4. Proficient in budgeting and financial management.
  5. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Familiarity with sustainability practices in agriculture.
