Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Sourcing
    • Identify synergies, strategies, and innovative ways to achieve strategic objectives and economies of scale through demand management and optimizing existing spend.
    • Identify cost-benefit opportunities by reviewing, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting on supplier spend data.
  • Supplier Relationship Management
    • Manage supplier relationships by understanding supplier objectives, strategic plans, business spectrum, and industry influences.
    • Formulate, implement, manage, and monitor an action plan aligned with category suppliers and internal stakeholders to enhance strategic supplier relationships.
  • Category Management
    • Develop and lead cross-functional sourcing by establishing and managing category advisory boards to improve compliance and increase cost benefits.
    • Ensure transformational targets are met for the team through consideration of targets during the staff recruitment, retention, and training process and utilizing suppliers listed on the preferred supplier list.
  • Procurement Operations
    • Execute the sourcing life cycle by adhering to the internationally recognized strategic sourcing process.
    • Manage, direct, and influence the category to ensure that preferential procurement B-BBEE targets are achieved in line with the Financial Sector Charter (FSC) and Nedbank's own targets.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Provide stakeholders with category cost information to assist with budget forecasting.
    • Monitor and report on supplier ESG initiatives as required by the Group Procurement strategy.

  • Education
    • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
    • Relevant BComm degree
  • Experience
    • 10 years in procurement industry with 5 years at senior management level managing others.
