Job Title: Internal Controls Data Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management and Compliance Expert to join our team at Network Recruitment. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with expertise in internal controls, auditing, risk management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Risk Mitigation and Compliance:
    • Identify risks and recommend effective internal control measures to mitigate these risks.
    • Evaluate and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, company control frameworks, delegation of authority, and policies through continuous monitoring and evaluation.
  • Testing and Validation:
    • Design and execute testing procedures to validate the effectiveness of internal control measures.
    • Document testing results and recommend corrective actions for any deficiencies.
    • Communicate testing results, identified risks, and mitigation actions to relevant process owners.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Create comprehensive documentation of internal control processes, policies, and procedures.
    • Prepare and present periodic reports to management and stakeholders on the status of internal controls, risk assessments, and recommended actions.
  • Advisory and Consultation:
    • Develop training programs to increase awareness of internal controls and compliance requirements.
    • Provide guidance and support to departments to ensure compliance with internal control frameworks, policies, and delegation of authority.
    • Act as an advisor to management and departments on matters of internal controls, compliance, and risk management.
    • Collaborate with external auditors to identify and optimize improvement opportunities.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Understanding of internal control frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or similar are preferred.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in internal controls, auditing, risk management, or compliance.
  • Data analytics expertise.
  • SOx compliance experience.
  • Proficiency with software tools for data analysis and documentation.
  • Experience in the FMCG sector is advantageous.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
