Job Description

Hire Resolve is seeking a seasoned Estimating Buyer to join our team in a key role that requires strong procurement and estimating skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procurement Management: Identify and source suppliers for required materials and services, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Estimating and Analysis: Request and analyze quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, preparing detailed comparisons of bids and negotiating favorable terms.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with the estimating team to ensure accurate project specifications, monitor market trends, and optimize procurement strategies.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, resolving any issues related to procurement or discrepancies in materials.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience as an Estimating Buyer in larger construction companies.
  • Relevant degree or diploma in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and cost estimation processes.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
