As a key member of our retail travel team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing reservations, and creating memorable travel experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Creative Planning: Design and plan itineraries that exceed our guests' expectations
  • Reservation Management: Effectively manage the reservations process to ensure guest budgets are met
  • Booking and Invoicing: Handle bookings from quote to finalizing, invoicing, and travel documents
  • Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with agents, sales teams, preferred supplier partners, and colleagues
  • Emergency Duty: Participate in rotational emergency duty
  • Working Hours: Work early and late shifts on a weekly rotational basis
  • Servicing Agents and Guests: Provide calm and professional service to agents and guests
  • Proactive Selling: Proactively sell our products and services to ensure the best possible safari experience for our guests
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of previous tour consulting experience required
  • Passion for Service Excellence: A passion for delivering exceptional service
  • Knowledge of Africa: Good understanding of South Africa, Southern, and East Africa
  • Sales Process and Methodology: Strong sales process and methodology skills
  • Travel Industry Knowledge: Understanding of travel industry channels and destinations
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and experiential creativity
  • Business Acumen: Relevant business understanding to create strategies and make commercial decisions
  • Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills, including ESS, MS Office, and WETU
  • TourPlan Experience: Previous experience with TourPlan is highly advantageous
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Time Management and Teamwork: Strong time management, teamwork, and conflict resolution abilities
