Job Overview

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a skilled Freight Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for providing accurate and efficient freight estimates for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

* Compile load plans for project and normal cargo
* Conduct onsite customer, vendor, and manufacturer visits to assess cargo weights and load plans
* Ensure all road freight estimates and load plans are completed and submitted within the required time frame
* Collaborate with multi-modal disciplines, including sea, air, road, projects, breakbulk, bulk, and out-of-gauge

Requirements:

* Matric
* 7-10 years of experience in road freight estimates or operations
* Freight forwarding experience in estimates is a must
* Strong analytical and computational skills to optimize load plans on trailers for project cargo
* Understanding of the requirements and limitations for the movement of abnormal cargo
