Factory Operations Manager

- Oversee Daily Operations: Ensure production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality in the mineral processing plant.
- Lead a Diverse Team: Manage and lead a team of production staff, including shift supervisors, engineers, and technicians, to achieve optimal results.
- Develop Production Schedules: Create and implement production schedules to ensure optimal use of equipment and resources.
- Monitor Plant Performance: Analyze plant performance and production metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintenance and Repair: Ensure that maintenance and repair activities are carried out promptly to minimize downtime and equipment failures.
- Health, Safety, and Environment: Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure full compliance with regulations.
- Supply Chain Management: Work closely with the supply chain team to ensure raw materials and finished products are managed efficiently.
- Financial Management: Manage the factory budget, control operational costs, and work towards achieving financial targets.
- Collaboration and Alignment: Collaborate with senior management and other departments to align factory operations with company objectives.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in plant or factory management within the mining or mineral processing industry.
- Leadership and Management: Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in overseeing large teams and complex operations.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of mineral processing techniques, machinery, and production processes.
- Process Improvement: Proven ability to implement lean manufacturing principles and other process improvement initiatives.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a focus on safety and quality control.
- Financial Management: Experience managing budgets, controlling costs, and improving operational efficiency.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations in the mining or mineral processing sectors.
