Business Development Associate

This position will report to the Sales Supervisor.
Job Purpose
The primary purpose of this role is to implement the Tier 3 strategy at retail level. The goal is to ensure targeted Coverage, Sales, Distribution and Retail Presence Objectives are met in a must-win channel for the Company and its principals.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Retail Outlet Universe Database.
- Achieve Coverage, Sales, Numeric Distribution & In Store communication objectives.
- Implement the trade coverage plan.
- Report and complete daily administration tasks on time.
- Implement all merchandising initiatives according to determined standards.
- Manage company resources daily, including Vehicles, POS, Merchandising material, stock, mobile phone.
- Implement promotions when applicable.
- Resolve trade-related issues or queries at store level.
- Provide ongoing market intelligence to management.
- Matric or equivalent qualification accredited by SAQA.
- 1 - 3 years Field Sales experience from an Informal Trade background.
- Own vehicle and valid driver's license.
- Meet set targets for a defined period.
- Reside in the relevant area of operation.
- Basic computer skills (MS Outlook, MS Office).
- Numeric skills.
