Agile Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Agile Project Manager to join our team at IOCO. As an Agile Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of numerous Agile projects on an end-to-end basis in demanding customer environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Work closely with development teams, product owners, and delivery team managers to identify process flaws and develop an agile improvement roadmap.
- Communication: Ensure timely communication of changes in scope, delays, and other issues to key stakeholders.
- Ceremonies: Run daily, weekly, and monthly agile ceremonies efficiently and strictly.
- Feedback: Participate in daily stand-ups, ensuring agile processes are followed, provide feedback to delivery teams, and focus teams on agreed sprint goals.
- Improvement: Drive improvements generated by agile retrospectives.
- Tool Knowledge: Research and educate teams on utilization of appropriate features of agile management tools.
- Reporting: Provide update reports on Agile process for the wider organization.
- Team Facilitation: Facilitate communication across different delivery teams to resolve dependencies and impediments.
- Sprint Protection: Work with Product Owner to protect current sprint commitments and continually refine and prioritize the backlog.
- Definition of Ready: Enforce definition of ready for work coming into the development team.
- Process Education: Educate external parties about process for submission of development work requests.
- Continuous Learning: Continuously learn and educate development team and fellow Scrum Masters on Agile methodologies and practices.
- Mentorship: Coach and mentor delivery teams to increase agile maturity across the company.
- Community Involvement: Actively contribute to Scrum Master Community of Practice.
- Business Analysis: Take responsibility for some Business Analysis aspects such as studying business needs, eliciting requirements, documenting requirements, ensuring delivered requirements meet quality standards, preparing release notes, post-go-live reporting, and developing user guides.
Your Expertise:
- Intermediate level (3-5 years) experience as an Agile Project Manager or Scrum Master within an Agile environment.
- Solid experience and understanding of Scrum principles.
- Proven experience within a Product Driven and Custom Development environment.
- Able to understand technical issues at a high level.
- Ability to coach teams to reach their highest potential and deadlines.
- Proven ability to work independently without supervision while driving decisions in a collaborative fashion.
- High attention to detail and sense of ownership and responsibility.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – able to interact with a wide range of individuals from Developers, Testers, and Product Owners to senior management and executives.
- Knowledge of and exposure to other software development methodologies and project management frameworks and concepts.
- Experience within the Insurance space.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.

- Matric
- Relevant IT/PM/SM qualification
- Scrum Master/Agil Certificate
