Job Description

Santam is seeking a seasoned Cloud Strategist to drive its digital transformation journey. As a key member of the technology team, you will be responsible for aligning business strategy with IT infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud computing and its applications in enterprise environments. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and develop strategies to implement cloud-based solutions.

This role requires strong leadership and influencing skills, as well as the ability to negotiate and positively influence others. The successful candidate will be able to effectively deal with conflict situations and complexity, and possess a high level of emotional intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business strategy and translate it into an IT strategy that supports the business vision.
  • Design and develop enterprise-wide technology architectures that encompass various aspects, including business processes, applications, infrastructure, and security.
  • Establish and enforce architecture and design governance processes, principles and standards to ensure consistency, interoperability, and compliance across IT projects and systems.
  • Oversee the alignment of IT initiatives with the enterprise architecture and facilitate decision-making regarding technology investments.

Requirements:

  • BSc / BCom / BTech / BEng/ Honours with Information Systems or Business as a major.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (preferred) or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in technology roles.
  • 3 years in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, systems design, operating at enterprise level.
