We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineering Hydrologist/Water Resource Engineer to join our team at ResourceGenix. This is a permanent position based in our Johannesburg or Pietermaritzburg office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead water resource planning and management projects for mining and renewable energy clients
  • Consult with National Water Resources Ministries/Authorities on hydrological modelling and water resource planning
  • Develop and implement hydro-informatics systems and hydrological gauging networks
  • Conduct climate change impact assessments and risk and vulnerability assessments
  • Design hydraulic structures and analyze water quality
  • Provide training and capacity building on hydrological modelling and water resource planning
Requirements:
  • BSc Eng (Civil) or BSc Hydrology (Hons); Masters preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in water resource planning and management
  • Professional registration (Pr.Sci.Nat or Pr.Eng)
  • Strong project management and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with multilateral development institutions
