Corporate Accounting Specialist

RPO Recruitment is actively looking for a proficient Corporate Accounting Specialist to support our esteemed client in the property management sector.
In this position, you will oversee and maintain the financial documentation of various body corporate entities. Your responsibilities will include daily accounting functions such as managing accounts payable and receivable, conducting bank reconciliations, preparing financial statements, and overseeing budgeting and cash flow.
Moreover, you will collaborate closely with property managers, committee members, and external partners to ensure precise financial reporting and informed decision-making.
Key ResponsibilitiesPossess a solid understanding and knowledge of the following legislation and its application:
- Sectional Title Schemes Management Act
- Sectional Title Act
- Community Schemes Ombud Services Act
- Other pertinent legislation regarding body corporates
- Preparation and regular updates of budgets
- Comprehension and preparation of management accounts
- Participation in body corporate meetings, including minute-taking
- Ensuring execution of action items from meeting minutes
- Understanding sectional titles and legislative requirements
- Creation of detailed reports concerning body corporate affairs
- Drafting effective correspondence related to tenants and suppliers
- Fostering strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and colleagues
- Demonstrating analytical skills and problem-solving abilities as issues arise
- Implementing effective procedures and processes
- Conducting monthly site visits
- Reviewing management accounts
- Assessing operational reports
- Managing utility wallet payments and reviews
- Preparing levy payments
- Tracking contribution payments
- Preparing monthly cash flow for payments
- Managing debt
- Reviewing incentive payments
- Conducting attorney account reviews for first-month levy payments
- Executing monthly debtors clearing journals
- Addressing client inquiries and providing support
- Preparing monthly reports and delivering feedback
- Attending trustee and managing agents meetings
- Analyzing utilities, monitoring, and identifying risks
Qualifications
- Higher education in accounting (Degree)
- Experience with Sage Evolution software
- Strong business acumen
- Advanced Excel skills
Compensation
- Salary range: R480K/yr - R420K/yr
