Assistant Store Manager Opportunity

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Clicks Mall of the South. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales and building customer loyalty to achieve a competitive advantage for the brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Store Manager in ensuring the efficient operation of the store and service excellence by driving sales and building customer loyalty.
  • Execute all operational activities of the store, including expenses, stock management, shrinkage, general housekeeping, and administration.
  • Develop and implement visual merchandising strategies to ensure in-store presentation and promotional standards are met.
  • Lead and motivate the store team to achieve their targets and performance goals.
  • Manage the work schedule on a daily basis to ensure each department is fully and appropriately staffed.
  • Implement customer service initiatives to drive customer loyalty and achieve club card participation targets.
  • Ensure all administrative responsibilities are completed efficiently, including time and attendance and employee records.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Maths 50% and English 50%)
  • Minimum 1 year's experience in an assistant store management role within a retail/FMCG store operations environment or successful completion of the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme
  • Financial management experience (budgets, profit and loss statements, financial ratios, etc.)
