Role Overview

This role is based in Pretoria and forms part of our Sales and Services team. As a Sales Manager, you will lead, guide, support, and coach front-line staff to execute effectively upon our business strategy, enabling the delivery of banking solutions to relevant market segments. You will ensure client-centric experiences that build sustainable client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will build relationships with intermediaries by engaging with them in structured meetings to deliver on sales targets.
  • You will educate and inform intermediaries by disseminating product and process information in line with our focus areas to grow market share.
  • You will demonstrate understanding of intermediaries' business practices by conducting ongoing structured meetings to establish intermediaries' needs.
  • You will collaborate with departments within Nedbank by sharing information in alignment with our focus areas.
  • You will demonstrate proficient investment knowledge in product specifications and processes.
  • You will build relationships with internal suppliers by communicating according to service level agreements.
  • You will ensure your team delivers on all targeted products and services as measured through the relevant client management systems and the contribution statement.
  • You will achieve quality and turnaround standards through relevant systems, processes, and procedures.
  • You will understand and respond to clients' business and needs.
  • You will improve team efficiency and effectiveness continuously.
  • You will build sound client relationships with staff and instill trust amongst clients that Nedbank is best placed to manage the complexity of their business requirements.
  • You will manage consultants to unearth sales/solution opportunities and create advocates among their clients.
  • You will stay abreast in your field of expertise and deliver on the expectations from stakeholders.
Requirements
  • We require a high standard of personal presentation.
  • You must be self-motivated and well-organised, with an ability to adapt and tackle a wide variety of challenges.
  • You should have the ability to deal with people both within the organisation and external customers.
Qualifications and Experience
  • We require a minimum of 3 years working experience as an Investment Consultant or Sales Manager or Business Development Manager in an Asset Management environment or Unit Trust environment.
  • Your experience should include investments technical knowledge.

The estimated salary for this role is R500,000 - R700,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a competitive package that includes a comprehensive benefits program and opportunities for career growth and development.
