About the Role

As a Senior Chrome Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a stable and cost-effective supply of chrome, managing relationships and logistics effectively, complying with regulatory standards, and strategically navigating market conditions to support overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supplier Relationships:
    • Develop and maintain relationships with chrome producers, mining companies, and other suppliers.
    • Negotiate contracts and terms of supply, ensuring favourable conditions for Ikwezi Mining.
  • Sourcing and Procurement:
    • Identify and evaluate potential sources of chrome.
    • Manage the procurement process, including issuing requests for quotes (RFQs), assessing bids, and assisting in finalizing contracts.
  • Logistics Coordination:
    • Work closely with logistics teams to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation and delivery of chrome.
    • Address and resolve any logistical challenges or disruptions that arise.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of transactions, contracts, and communications with suppliers.
    • Prepare reports on procurement activities, market trends, and performance metrics.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in the specific commodity market.
  • Strong understanding of market trends, economic factors affecting supply and demand, and commodity-specific data.
  • Proficiency in financial software, market analytics tools, and standard office applications.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements.

Estimated Salary:

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
